Fix the parallelism issues below:
1. AP students who are passing are often studying, they take notes, and they participate in class.
2. Heated mattress pads are popular because they can be turned on to heat up a bed, turned off at bedtime, and keep the bed warm throughout the night.
3. Before the negotiators could formulate a rule, they needed to establish a standard of emissions and specify a deadline for compliance. A procedure for wood stove testing was also necessary.
4. We aim to explore strange, new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations; so that we can boldly go where no man has gone before.
5. The project will be useful both to show how coal is liquefied and in revealing the quality of the coal models for kinetic studies. Note: The typed essays will appear tomorrow.
